This book thus addresses the changes that occurred during the Early Iron Age in the social and territorial structure of indigenous communities of Southern Italy. In particular it is concerned with the following question: I) what is currently know about the transformations of social and territorial organisation of Early Iron Age communities in Southern Italy? And II) which avenues of theoretical and especially methodological research will be the most productive to develop and refine that knowledge?
