The aim of the research has been to investigate the meaning of these words within a lexicological model suitable to represent their semantic flexibility and variability, which is also reflected in their paradigmatic relations within the Hebrew lexicon. The scope of the investigation has been then interlinguistically extended to the equivalent expressions in the ancient biblical Greek versions. To assess the degree of idiomaticity of the translators’ lexical choices and their possible interpretative implications, a further corpus of Greek historical-narrative texts broadly coeval with the biblical translations has been taken as a term of comparison; such a corpus has been created so as to include on the one hand writings transmitted within the Septuagint textual tradition and therefore exemplary of Graecophone Hellenistic Jewish culture, on the other hand texts whose origin and content are independent from this milieu.

[51759,51773

27855
39373

26342
24181

24232
25722,25542

24238
0":"post-315579","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-classical-philology","7":"product_cat-religion-and-theology","8":"editore-societa-editrice-fiorentina","9":"condizione-new","10":"lingua-inglese-en","11":"tipo_pubblicazione-monograph","12":"dewey-language","13":"dewey-religion","14":"contenuto-indice-en","16":"first","17":"instock","18":"shipping-taxable","19":"purchasable","20":"product-type-simple

<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 -
