In light of climate change, the environment is being framed, positioned, and interrogated as a central subject of inquiry within architectural exhibitions. This shift has fostered expanded definitions of architectural display while drawing attention to the evolving role of temporary settings, pavilions, and installations. The volume is organized around three thematic threads: discursive exhibitions, which present research materials as evidence of environmental transformations in the Anthropocene; immersive exhibitions, reconfiguring museum or gallery spaces as accentuated environments; and hybrid exhibitions, intersecting with digital media or natural elements to promote relational and reflective engagement. Together, they highlight the multiple ways in which exhibition projects have generated renewed approaches to architectural practice and discourse, continuously redefining the relationships between design, ecology, technology, and environmental consciousness. As mediatory practices, they examine and contextualize the growing role of architecture in shaping future environments, foregrounding climatic conditions, endangered ecologies, and environmental inequalities as key design concerns. If the exhibition of architecture is often considered an oxymoron, then exhibiting environments within architecture no longer appears contradictory but increasingly urgent.
